Good Shepherd UMC North Ft Myers, FL
The Harry Chapin Food Bank in Fort Myers, Florida provides hurricane relief, operates school pantries, mobile pantries, has programs for seniors, and works with over 150 local organizations to feed the hungry. Together, they provided over 24 million pounds of food, which sounds like a lot, but hungry families will need over 40 million pounds of food this year. They have eliminated all fees to their partner organizations so they can better serve people, and count on the community's support. Our Good Shepherd United Methodist Women group are happy to do our part and organize a Souper Bowl of Caring collection at our church in North Fort Myers, Florida to give to this food bank. We stand at the exit doors with labeled soup pots and our members contribute. We want to add our support to this worthy cause that helps so many people.
